Coordinate transportation operations with external trucking and container transportation contractors, selecting the most appropriate transportation solutions based on actual requirements.
Monitor cargo delivery status and handle any issues arising with contractors.
Work directly with customers to understand their requirements, provide delivery progress updates, and resolve related issues.
Coordinate with the customs clearance department to:
Process ePort and eWMS submissions.
Update delivery status, driver information, and document images on the company’s software system.
Monitor compliance with delivery procedures, ensuring that documents, data, and images are stored completely and accurately.
Track progress and prepare periodic reports for management regarding transportation status, costs, performance, and any issues encountered.
Manage and train transportation coordinators (if applicable), assign tasks effectively, and ensure the team operates efficiently.
Job Requirements
College or university degree or higher, preferably in Logistics, Import-Export, Transportation Economics, or related fields.
At least 2–3 years of experience in transportation coordination, preferably with a logistics company or freight forwarder.
Knowledge or experience in field operations (OPS) or customs clearance operations is an advantage.
Strong ability to work with transportation contractors, handle operational issues, and communicate effectively with customers.
Good management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with transportation management software, ePort, and eWMS systems is an advantage.
Proactive, able to work under high pressure, and willing to work overtime when urgent deliveries are required.
